Technology camp at elobau: A holiday week full of hands-on technology, teamwork and discovery

After a one-year break, the time had finally come again: last week, elobau in Leutkirch once again hosted its technology camp for employees’ children. 21 children aged between eight and twelve spent a varied holiday week in our training workshop, where they were able to experience technology in a playful and hands-on way.

The week focused on various craft projects that allowed the children to get actively involved. From an electronic mini organ and a buzz wire game to a tic-tac-toe kit, there was plenty to discover. With great curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm, the children worked together, tried things out and learned something new. In the process, they not only gained an understanding of technical principles, but also created their own small projects to proudly take home at the end.

In addition to the practical activities, a look behind the scenes at elobau was also part of the programme. During a tour of our plants, the children were able to get to know different areas of the company and visit their parents directly at their workplace. This gave them a personal insight into where and how work is carried out at elobau.

There was also plenty of time for breaks and physical activity throughout the week. In between the projects, the children repeatedly went outside to play and let off steam. During lunch together in our organic canteen, everyone was able to recharge and gather new energy for the next activities.

The technology camp was accompanied by our training managers and eight apprentices from technical professions, who had volunteered to help supervise the children. With great commitment, patience and enthusiasm, they supported the children with their projects and introduced them to technology in a clear, age-appropriate and engaging way.

After five days full of new impressions, shared experiences and exciting technology projects, a very special holiday week came to an end. A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone involved who made the technology camp possible and gave the children such an eventful time at elobau.
