We are delighted with the award and view it as a validation of our efforts in sustainability. In the “Energy excellence” category, the jury unanimously voted for our company and named our exemplary pioneering role as the deciding factor. The jury was won over by the overall package: the carbon-neutral production of our products, the exclusive use of regenerative energy sources, that new buildings since 2012 are in accordance with the Energy Plus standard, and generous support of environmental projects. 53 companies participated in the competition, 19 of which made it to the final selection for the “Environmental Award for Companies 2014”. elobau applied to the category for industrial companies with more than 250 employees. We are particularly delighted with the jury award for “Energy Excellence”, which recognises companies who contribute in a particularly exemplary way to increasing energy efficiency and saving energy, or if energy is obtained from regenerative energy sources. For us as a family-owned, medium-sized company, climate change is a fact on the basis of which we derive our goal to preserve nature and resources in order to maintain them for future generations. Executive Director Michael Hetzer is committed to future generations, which is why products from elobau have been manufactured climate-neutral since 2010.
