Continuity in the base technology
elobau was founded in 1972 with the invention of a magnetic proximity switch on reed contact basis for a hay distribution system. Since then, we have remained true to contactless sensors and their unbeatable advantages. Reed contacts require no power supply, are extremely robust and can be integrated in the electronic communication of machines or off highway vehicles. Thanks not least of all to this extensive experience, elobau today is among the world’s leading suppliers of contactless sensor technology.
Solution competency and service-provider gene
elobau was never a classic manufacturer of standard products. Even for the very first customer in the company’s history, a complete system was offered: elobau supplied the required control system for the newly developed reed contact. Development partnerships based on equal footing are our goal for every collaboration. elobau therefore places value on stable developer teams and contact persons for every customer – independent of whether for the overnight production of a prototype for a specific product variant or for a custom product that is developed together over several years. Continuity and flexibility through short decision-making channels are the result.

The 10 percent of our sales that we invest in research and development is above average. More than 40 patented inventions and ongoing optimizations in our customer orders are the result. We are thereby able to constantly secure new competitive advantages for our customers and strengthen our own position on the market for the long term. For us, innovation and change also mean acting as a driving force by constantly offering our markets future-proof developments. A current example is the development of our modularly structured, standardized armrest. This will consist up to 75% of bio-based materials – a pioneering project in our industry.
