functionality

electronic (RFID) magnetically actuated
The fully electronical safety sensor is based on RFID technology (RadioFrequencyIDentification) and detects an actuator by especially coded radio waves.
This special coding enables the best possible protection against manipulation in accordance with DIN EN 14119.
The function of this safety sensor is based on reed technology and switching is by a magnetical actuator.
This sensor is particularly suitable for stainless steel guarding.

assured switching distance

This indicates the distance between safety sensor and actuator in which the actuation of the safety sensor is assured.

connection type

Standard cable lengths are 1m, 3m, 5m, 10m. The required cable length can be added in the comments box during "confirmation". Suitable cable sets with counter plug for safety sensors with connector can be found on our website under "accessories".

diagnostic function

Within this selection both options can be chosen together if needed.

monitoring contact LED
The monitoring contact switches if the actuator is in the detection zone of the sensor. Being connected to a PLC the monitoring contact can be used to indicate if the safety device is open or closed. The LED changes its state if the actuator is in the detection zone of the sensor. This enables an easy on-site diagnosis.

ambient temperature range

coding versions EDM function
The electronic safety sensors are available in different coding versions offering you more possibilities to protect against manipulation in accordance with DIN EN 14119. The electronic safety sensors dispose of a start function (EDM input) which can be chosen according to the application. The version „automatic“ should be chosen if the EDM input is not needed. In that case the EDM input needs to be wired to +24 V DC.
coded The safety sensor accepts any actuator. Coding according DIN EN 14119: low automatic The sensor expects a rising edge at the EDM input (positive potential). This can be made by contactor monitoring or by connecting to +24V DC.
individual The safety sensor accepts an actuator which has been programmed to the sensor. Coding according DIN EN 14119: high monitored The sensor expects a falling edge at the EDM input. This can be realized by connecting an external start button.
unique The safety sensor only accepts the actuator supplied in the same package as the sensor. Coding according DIN EN 14119: high
